On July 15 will be played the II Heartbreak Swimming Crossing in the beach of Levante

The second edition of the Heartbreak Swimming Crossing in Levante beach will be held next Sunday July 15. A test organized by Finisher Sports Club with the collaboration of Benidorm City Council. The Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, along with the president of the entity, Jonás Marín; the coordinator of the Crossing, Fabián Villena, presented the event in a ceremony in which the 1st Deputy Mayor, Ana Pellicer, a member of Finisher, who, together with the person in charge of Sports, have already registered in the race.

Arturo Cabrillo indicated that the test will start at 9.00 am, next to Plaza del Torrejó, and that "a circuit that proposes a round trip line parallel to the beach of 2,900 meters" will be made. Likewise, four categories have been contemplated in the journey: Senior, Master A, Master B and Master C, in male and female modalities. The councillor thanked the club "the effort and dedication" for the preparation of the event, a test that is "safe" is going to "consolidate in time" as a swimming crosssing "emblematic and reference for the city."

For his part, Fabián Villena, recalled the "unique scenario" for the swimming and advocated so that all swimmers take it into account, within the summer circuit", as happens with the crossing to the Island of Benidorm. "We want this test to become its first cousin," he underlined. For his part, Jonás Marín showed his gratitude to the City Council, councilors, sponsors and the rest of the city's swimming clubs. About the competition he said that it will be "spectacular" and that "it will surely remain in the memory of all the swimmers because it will be totally different to what we are used to: rock and very funny".

Enrollments to this second Heartbreak Swimming Crossing can be made through Internet at the portal www.travesiabenidorm.com. By early afternoon today, 232 participants had registered.
