Some works that have involved an investment of 3,280,000 euros from FEDER funds (European Funds of Regional Development) and that have been executed in four months.

In this test trip, the mayor and the minister have been accompanied, among others, by the general director of Public Works, Transport and Mobility, Carlos Domingo; the managing director of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV), Juan Andrés Sánchez; the councilors of Mobility and Urbanism, José Ramón González de Zárate and Lourdes Caselles; the mayor of l'Alfàs del Pi, Vicente Arques; and representatives of several groups of the municipal corporation of Benidorm.

Both the mayor and the minister have agreed that this infrastructure is "a bet to sustainable mobility" and "to improve the connectivity of Benidorm and the region," while stressing that "close collaboration between the City Council and the Generalitat have allowed to "work against the clock" and anticipating execution deadlines. Thus, the mayor said that this work "is the demonstration that with collaboration and coordination between administrations to get the best results to make public services available to people", which must be "at the center of the polithic action and public management ".

Perez highlighted that this halt is located in "a very urban enclave" next to "a large service complex for Benidorm" where the bus station, the Palace of Justice, the Invattur, the educational and sports complex of the Salt de l'Aigua, the Fire Station, the future police station and the traffic playground converge. In addition, he said that it is "a deserved and grateful investment that generates a new core of communication that will also allow vertebrate the connectivity of the region with a fast and straight connection with services such as Villajoyosa hospital or adjoining villages of Finestrat, l'Alfàs and Altea".

For its part, the minister has highlighted "the intermodality" of this halt, due to the fact that users traveling on the TRAM can get off at this stop to connect with another urban transport, and just a few meters away from the bus station. Salvador pointed out that in addition to the construction of the halt, work is still being carried out "on the electrification of line 9" and he has anticipated that a plan to act on the level crossings is planned.

In parallel to the work of Conselleria, the City Council has acted in the area with the construction of a parking lot of 2,800 m2 asphalted and the pedestrian walkway that connects the Els Tolls neighborhood and the new halt with the Palau d'Esports through Italy street.
