Benidorm condemned the latest case of gender violence registered in La Coruña. Members of the municipal corporation of Benidorm, headed by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the councilwoman of Equality, Paquita Ripoll; as well as municipal workers and neighbors have concentrated this afternoon at the Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de España to save a minute of silence as a sign of mourning for the victim.
The Government Delegation for Gender Violence has confirmed that the murder of a 57-year-old woman last Wednesday in La Coruña is a case of sexist violence, after verifying the police investigation that was beheaded by her husband of 54 years.
With this last victim, the number of women murdered by their couples or excouples rises to 22 this year. These violent deaths leave, in addition, 14 minors orphans.
