Indiverso festival will celebrate its second edition on July 18 at the new SkyFest venue
The event will maintain a charitable aspect, donating part of the proceeds to Doble Amor Centre.
SkyFest Benidorm venue will host the second edition of the Indiverso festival on July 18th. This indie music and culture DJ event has changed its dates and location this year to "increase capacity and expand its offerings, elevating the audience experience to a new level." The festival promoters, whose tickets are already available on the official website, presented all the details of the event today alongside the Councillor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, and SkyFest spokesperson, Alex Frattini, at a press conference where they revealed some of the names that will be part of the lineup.
CEO Noel Moris stated that this festival was created to "feature the best national and international DJs who perform at festivals and pack dance clubs," and that this year will also be complemented by the addition of emerging bands performing live. Among them will be two local artists in the DJ booth: Miss Deep’In, originally from Benidorm, “whose electronic sensibility and elegant sound selection have made her one of the most interesting emerging figures on the scene,” and Lsangar, “a regular fixture in the local DJ scene and a deep connoisseur of the festival's spirit.” With this decision, the event not only showcases national and international names but also “champions the talent that is born and nurtured in Benidorm,” consolidating its identity as a festival deeply rooted in the region, as explained by Carlos López, another of the promoters.
They will be joined by David Van Bylen, Eme DJ, and Maadraassoo, who will perform on the main Indiverso stage from 7:00 PM to 2:30 AM; and Sobrezero, Tú Peleas Como una Vaca, and Alay DJ, who will play on the so-called ‘Pool Stage,’ one of this year's new additions, which will operate between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
The organisers have also announced that a new international act will be revealed in the coming days, with which they hope to complete "a sonic journey that ranges from the most alternative and rock indie to the great generational anthems, reinterpreted in an electronic and danceable style."
More DJs, bigger crowds
Noel Moris explained that “Indiverso is not just another festival; we've taken a very quick but solid leap to offer the public a more immersive, more summery experience, and to expand our offerings and capacity, attracting not only locals but also people spending their July holidays in Benidorm.”
In addition to this opportunity for growth, the move to SkyFest will also allow them to “improve infrastructure, increase capacity, and strengthen technical production, adapting the event to the peak season and consolidating its position as one of the major indie events of the summer in Benidorm,” complementing the musical experience with the food area and the other offerings available at the venue.
Indiverso will also maintain its social and environmental commitment, which it established in its first edition, by incorporating sustainable measures at the venue and collaborating with local initiatives, such as donating part of the proceeds to the Doble Amor Occupational Centre. “We are proud to be able to collaborate with them,” Moris stated.
Finally, the organisers publicly thanked Benidorm City Council and all other collaborators for their support in ensuring that Indiverso can continue to be held. At the same time, the SkyFest spokesperson expressed confidence that this event “will continue to grow in the coming years until it reaches its maximum capacity of 25,000 people.”
Support local businesses
For his part, the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, wished Indiverso “much success.” He emphasized that the inclusion of this festival at the venue allocated to ‘Hermanos Martínez Munuera’ football fields highlights the importance of “supporting local businesses, and it is equally important that the people of Benidorm support and understand the project we want to develop at Skyfest,” a project that, he added, “is long-term and will be very positive for Benidorm.”
Carrobles also noted that one of the venue's key principles is to “minimise noise to disturb residents as little as possible, with sound and time restrictions,” and concluded by stating that the venue will incorporate “innovations compared to what we were used to at other festivals, to make it more comfortable, inclusive, and accessible for the public.”
