The EMDISC and ETRAME employment promotion programs end in Benidorm
On June 30, the ETRAME and EMDISC employment promotion programs of Benidorm City Council ended, subsidized by LABORA with funds from the State Public Employment Service (SEPE). The two programs have served to hire nine people for nine months and have received a subsidy of 151,637.56 euros.
Those hired have been people with functional diversity and have carried out customer service tasks in different municipal departments such as the La Torreta social centre, the Casa del Fester, the Adult Training Center, the Guillermo Amor sports city and some schools in the municipality.
Through the ETRAME-Avalem Capacitats program, an unemployed person with mental health problems was hired and the amount of the subsidy was, in this case, 17,959.73 euros. Regarding the EMDISC-Avalem Capacitats program, the subsidy amounted to 143,677.83 euros and was used to hire eight unemployed people with disabilities.
The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, highlighted the “social work” that the development of these programs entails for the Benidorm City Council “by betting on people who belong to groups with the most difficulties in accessing the labour market.”.
