The Education Department opens today the application period for enrollment in Preschool and Primary education in Benidorm schools

06 May 2025
Educación abre hoy el plazo de solicitud de matrícula para Infantil y Primaria en los colegios de Benidorm

Benidorm families with children of an age to start school for the first time or continue their education at one of the city's thirteen public schools and one charter school can submit applications for enrollment in Pre-school Education and Primary Education starting today, May 6th. This is the date stipulated by the Ministry of Education to apply for places at these publicly funded schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. The application period will remain open for one week and will extend until next Wednesday, May 14th.

Benidorm City Councillor for Education, Maite Moreno, stated that, following the trend of recent years, "the enrollment application will be submitted online on the website set up by the Ministry of Education, adminova.gva.es, where all the procedures related to the process can be completed."

Moreno explained that "as of today, there are 90 vacant places in P2 in five schools in the city." She noted that Benidorm also has a total of 510 P3 Early Childhood Education desks. She recalled that "the single district continues to be implemented throughout the city, eliminating geographical restrictions and, therefore, eliminating points based on proximity of the family or work address to the school for grading purposes."

According to the schedule established by the Regional Ministry, once the application period for enrollment closes on May 14th, the provisional lists of those admitted to each school will be published on June 4th, and families will be informed via the email address they provided during the application process. The provisional lists can be requested online until June 6th, with the final lists being published on June 18th. From that same day until June 27th, families who choose to enrol online will be able to formalise their enrollment. Those who prefer to do so in person will have a deadline from June 18th to July 2nd. The 3rd and 4th of that month will be used for registration for those on the waiting list.

Processing

To apply for enrollment in public preschool and primary schools and private schools, families must access adminova.gva.es. The only requirement is to have a DNI/NIE (National Identity Document). The first step is to generate the admission code, one for each child. The applicant will then receive an email with the ID and password for each application they must submit, depending on the number of children to be enrolled. It is essential to keep the access code to view the lists and file complaints.

2-Year-Old Preschool Classrooms

The same schedule will apply to families wishing to enrol their children in the 2-year-old classrooms set up in public schools by the Regional Ministry, an offer reserved for children born in 2023. For the upcoming 2025-2026 school year, there are 90 places available at the Aitana, Vasco Núñez, Puig Campana, Mestre Gaspar López, and La Cala Primary Schools. As with the rest of the offering, the 2-year-old classrooms are not zoned, but rather cover the entire municipal area.

In addition to these, there are P2 places available at the municipal nursery school network (Fontanelles, Les Caletes, and El Tossalet) and the Nanets Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI).

Secondary Education and Baccalaureate

Finally, the Councillor for Education announced that the Regional Ministry will launch the application process for places in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate on May 14th, which will also be online.

Specifically, applications for places can be submitted between May 15th and 23rd. The provisional lists of those admitted to ESO will be published on July 7th, online claims must be submitted from July 7th to 9th, and the final list will be announced on July 16th. Online registration will take place from July 16th to 21st, and in-person registration will take place from July 16th to 22nd. For Baccalaureate, the provisional lists of those admitted will be published on July 14th, and the final lists will be published on July 22nd. Online registration will take place from July 22nd to 25th, and in-person registration will take place from July 22nd to 28th.
