FAMPA Marina Baixa is organizing a free training course for families on screens, mobile phones and social media

The Federation of Parents' Associations of Benidorm and the surrounding area, FAMPA Marina Baixa, in collaboration with Benidorm City Council's Department of Education, has organised a training course entitled "Screens, Mobile Phones, and Social Networks: Practical Keys for Families." This course is aimed at local families and education professionals interested in the topic.

The Benidorm City Council's Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, explained that the objective of this talk is "to help families of students become familiar with the use and operation of social networks so they can know if their children are using them correctly and to prevent risky situations or excessive use by minors." Moreno emphasized that "this is a very interesting and constantly evolving topic," and therefore believes it "can provide families with many tools and knowledge."

The training will be led by psychologist Alberto Soler, a graduate in Psychology from the University of Valencia and holder of a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology. It will take place on December 10th at 5:30 p.m. in the Benidorm Town Hall Auditorium and is free for attendees.

Registration for those wishing to attend as members of the public is open until December 8th or until the auditorium reaches capacity. To register, please send an email to fampaformacion@gmail.com indicating your full name, ID number, and the school your child(ren) attends. Families belonging to the Benidorm, Puig Campana, Finestrat, or Les Eres Relleu Parent-Teacher Associations (AMPAs) who include their membership card number will have priority for registration. Professionals attending should also indicate this on their registration form.

FAMPA Marina Baixa has announced that the talk is not suitable for minors and that failure to attend this event without prior notice, despite having registered, will result in exclusion from all other training sessions, talks, and/or activities organised by FAMPA during the 2025/26 academic year.
