Culture announces the XXI Festive Music Contest 'Villa de Benidorm' in the modality of Christian March

Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Culture, has convened the XXI edition of  'Villa de Benidorm' Festive Music Contest in the Christian March modality, after the approval today of the bases by the Local Government Board.
Thus, as many participants as they wish may submit without age or nationality limit and may submit as many compositions as they wish, which must be original, unpublished and not have been performed in public prior to the jury's decision. The jury will especially value the originality in the themes, harmony, melody and other characteristics of festive music.
The bases stipulate that there will only be a single prize of 2,000 euros and a trophy sponsored by the City Council. The works must be presented under a motto in the form of a score without a signature or sign that allows the author to be identified.
Participants will have to send four copies of the score, bound, and attach a CD or 'pen drive' with the score and the 'particellas' in pdf format and audio of it. Likewise, the motto of the work must be accompanied by a sealed envelope with the author's data and the definitive title of the work. In no case, the works must be signed.

The deadline for admission to work ends at 11:59 p.m. on August 15. Once this period has expired, the jury will evaluate the works in the following 15 calendar days and will communicate the winner's motto, which will be performed at the extraordinary concert of the Benidorm Musical Union in September. If the jury deems it appropriate, the prize could be declared void and its decision will be final.
