Yesterday afternoon, the auditorium of the Fundación Mediterráneo hosted one more conference of the 'Days of the Sea' organized by the Frax Foundation. The conference was titled 'Doctor José Pérez Llorca, doctor and sailor' and was offered by the brigadier general and director of Health of the Spanish Navy, Enrique Bartolomé Cela.
Several members of the local corporation attended the event, led by the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, who at the end of the conference thanked the Frax Foundation for holding these conferences and the speaker for his brilliant presentation of a very beloved character in Benidorm.
Enrique Bartolomé made a profile of Pérez Llorca, of whom he offered a complete biography that reflected his two passions: medicine and the navy. He also highlighted the “simple and kind” character of José Pérez Llorca who was born in Benidorm on May 29, 1902 and who could have been an almadrabero like his relatives “but who since he was a child had the vocation to be a doctor” graduating with only 20 years to enter and develop their life in the Navy with numerous destinations.
