Yesterday afternoon, the students of the Municipal Elementary Conservatory of Dance of Benidorm filled the auditorium of the Cultural Center on the occasion of the 2023/24 End of Course Festival that they offered to a large audience, for the most part, parents, friends and family who were not They wanted to miss the show of the young dancers.
The director of the Conservatory, María Jesús Francés, reminded those present before starting the festival that “dance is not just discipline. It requires it, but we teach many more values, such as companionship, friendship, help or mental work.” Francés stressed that the teaching taught at the centre “is based on values that they will be able to take advantage of throughout their lives” and expressed his hope that for the next course, “some male component can be incorporated, which this year we have not had.” none". The festival was attended by the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, accompanied by other members of the local corporation.
The program was divided into two parts. The first, dedicated to the world of Walt Disney, was composed of the pieces 'Libre soy' (Frozen) danced by the Intermediate students, 'An ideal world' (Aladdin) by the beginner students, 'What's more there' (Moana) by the second Elementary Grade students, 'Something New' (Beauty and the Beast by the fourth Elementary Grade students, 'High King and Queen of Narnia and The Call' (The Chronicles of Narnia) with the Middle Grade, ' You will fly' (Tinkerbell) by first-grade Elementary, 'What a feast' (Beauty and Beast) with Preparatory, 'Finally I see the light' (Rapunzel) by third-grade Elementary and 'Fate and Destiny and Volaré' (Brave) by Intermediate students.
The second part was composed of Spanish and contemporary dance pieces: 'El día que yo me muera' by Third and Fourth Grade Elementary, 'Duele el corazón' by beginners, 'Lo que no se da' and the Intermediate students, 'Bien Bonito' with the second grade of Elementary, 'Lágrimas negra' with the Middle Grade, 'Carol of the bells' danced by the third and fourth grade of Elementary, 'Al roé por la ladder' with the Preparatory students, 'Gallito' by the first years of Elementary Grade and ended with 'Vencer al amor' by the Intermediate students.
