The Comissió de Sant Antoni 2024 organizes the 1st Spanish Omelete Contest
Next Saturday, May 27, the Comissió de Festes Sant Antoni 2024 organizes an innovative gastronomic contest in Ermita de Sanç to raise funds for the festival and in addition to other events of this type that it traditionally organizes every year.
On this occasion, the initiative aims to bring one of the most traditional recipes of our land closer to neighbors, citizens, supporters clubs, and even restaurants who want to participate and demonstrate their skills when it comes to making the Spanish tortilla.
The Comissió de Festes Sant Antoni 2024, after the decision of a select jury of the festive group, will recognize the three best tortillas with a cash prize of 100, 75, and 50 euros respectively. To be able to participate, you only have to be over 18 years of age, and be able to present only one omelete, made up of at least five ingredients. Participation may be individually or collectively.
The hours to present the omelets will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and the identification sheet of all the ingredients used must be provided.
The Comissió will have an open bar with sandwiches, soft drinks, beers, and mixed drinks at popular prices to liven up the day together with the performance of DJs.
The Councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, encourages all the residents of Benidorm to participate in this new initiative to collaborate with the Sant Antoni Commission and spend a pleasant day at Ermita de Sanç.
