These vehicles, like the rest of those that perform educational services, will follow health protocols, including the allocation of seats
The City Council guarantees once again this year the daily disinfection of the Infant and Primary school buses
Like last year, the buses that transport students of Infant and Primary Education of CEIP’s Gabriel Miró and Mestre Gaspar López will be disinfected daily. This has been confirmed by the Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, who recalled that “the transport of these students, about 60 minors of both cycles, is assumed directly by the City Council, providing it through the urban bus concessionaire, Llorente Bus, which it applies the established sanitary protocols and which have also been certified by Aenor ”. These protocols will also be applied in the rest of educational services.
Moreno explained that "in the same way as it was done in the 2020/2021 academic year, this daily disinfection of vehicles will affect contact surfaces, such as bars, handles or seat belts." In addition, all vehicles have a protective screen in the driver's seat and hydroalcoholic gel will be provided.
The protocol also includes the allocation of seats, which will be carried out on the first day of the service and which will be maintained throughout the school period, paying special attention to people with disabilities or special needs. In this way, each student will have the same seat during the school year. Regarding access to vehicles, first the students who use rear seats and for getting off the bus in reverse order.
During the trip, students from the age of 6 must wear a mask, and its use is recommended for younger students, except in the cases specified. The auxiliary route personnel will have masks for the use of students in case of loss, breakage, etc.; and will dispense hydroalcoholic gel to all users.
In addition, as happened last year, by the municipal cleaning service, the school transport stops will also be disinfected daily.
The Councilor for Education has stressed that "ensuring the health safety of Benidorm students has been and continues to be a priority for this City Council, and for this reason all the actions, protocols and reinforcements necessary for the stay in the classrooms, the access to schools and school transport is carried out in an orderly and safe manner ”.
Thus, the City Council has equipped with mobile purifiers all the units and school canteens of Infant and Primary Education of the centers supported with public funds of the city; and it has also provided CO2 sensors, one for each cycle and center.
In addition, as announced last week, during the course cleaning and disinfection work will be reinforced in Infant and Primary schools, municipal nursery schools, UNED, the Official Language School, and municipal Conservatories of Music and Dance and the Adult Training School.
