Education prepares a new edition of the Educational Fair for May
The Benidorm City Council has hosted a meeting between territorial representatives of the Conselleria d'Educació, Universitats i Ocupació and the councillors of Employment and Local Development and Education, Mónica Gómez and Maite Moreno, together with technical staff from their areas of action and the POMB (Pacte per l'Ocupació de la Marina Baixa), together with spokespersons from AICO (Independent Association of Merchants), HOSBEC (autonomous hotel association), CEV (Valencian Business Confederation), ABRECA (Association of Bars, Restaurants, Cafes and Nightlife ), and INMOBECO (Association of Real Estate Companies of Benidorm and Region).
The objective of this meeting is “to detect the personnel needs of companies to organize the training of future workers and achieve the insertion of people who are currently unemployed, training in the training cycles of our municipality. ", said Mónica Gómez, who has announced that in the "near future," an information day will take place to promote Dual Vocational Training "as an opportunity for the future in Benidorm and the Marina Baixa."
Gómez has announced that “in addition” to the entities that have participated in the meeting, they have confirmed their participation in the event APTUR (Association of Tourist Apartment Companies), AVIBE (Association of Travel Agencies of Benidorm) and JOVEMPA (Association of Young Entrepreneurs) of the Marina Baixa.
The program for the day will be announced in the coming days, although the municipal representatives have confirmed that there will be a round table in which the business associations will participate in which their needs will be known. The event will be open to public participation and attendance will be free.
Educational Fair
For her part, Maite Moreno recalled that Dual FP is a modality “that is carried out on an alternating basis” between educational centres and companies, which allows students to “adapt as much as possible” to the employment needs of the area.
Moreno has specified that together with the Educational and Regional Vocational Training Fair that will be held this year in May, with these initiatives the City Council intends to “allow students to select the training that best suits both their personal preferences and needs of companies.”
