The city presents its strengths as a 'gay-friendly' destination at the fair, with special prominence for Benidorm Fest and 'the Pride' week

Benidorm strengthens its offer for LGTBI+ in Fitur

26 January 2024
Benidorm afianza en Fitur su oferta para el público LGTBI+

Benidorm has presented its offer as one of the most consolidated 'gay-friendly' destinations in the country at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) that is being held these days in Madrid. It has done so in the pavilion that the fair dedicates to this segment, Fitur LGTB+, where the city has presented its wide range of tourist services for gays, lesbians, transsexuals, and bisexuals, with special prominence in two events that attract up to the city to thousands of people from this group: the Benidorm Fest, which is celebrated in the city next week, and the 'Benidorm Pride', scheduled for next September.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has toured the different exhibitors present at Fitur LGTB+ and has maintained contacts with some of the professionals and tourism agents working during these days at the fair. With them, the mayor has been able to confirm "the great interest that these events are generating, the first of which will start in just a matter of hours, with that 'Opening' party with which this Sunday we kick off the Benidorm Fest."

Likewise, Toni Pérez highlighted that "it is difficult to find a city that from the beginning discovered its vocation to offer happiness for all and that offers establishments and leisure areas at any time of the day and an endless number of activities."

The first mayor also recalled that in Benidorm there are more than fifty places and establishments aimed at the LGBT public, the majority of them in the Old Town, “in which everyone feels at home thanks to the quality, kindness and attention they receive.”

Visit Benidorm Tourism Foundation has also carried out a presentation at Fitur LGTB+ to publicize in greater depth the strengths of the municipality focused on this market, within the different promotional actions of the destination that this public-private organization develops throughout the year.
