The mayor and the local association of hoteliers announce in Fitur the dates of the main gastronomic events of this 2024
'Benidorm Gastronómico' will have five thematic weeks this year from March to November
Spoon, tuna, tapas, cocktails and rice. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the board of directors of the Association of Bars, Restaurants and Cafes of Benidorm and Region (ABRECA) have announced all the events they have scheduled to promote local gastronomy in 2024, included under the brand 'Gastronomic Benidorm'. The International Tourism Fair, Fitur, has been the scene of the presentation of this calendar, which will feature days “aimed at all types of audiences, from lovers of the most traditional gastronomy to those who enjoy tasting new proposals,” highlighted Toni Pérez.
The different days will take place between March and November, starting with the 'XII Jornadas de la Cuchara', which will take place from March 1 to 10. The next culinary event will be the 'IV Tuna Days', scheduled from February 12 to 21, and will be followed by the 'XIV Tapas Contest', from June 14 to 23. In September, between the 13th and 22nd, one of the latest additions to 'Benidorm Gastronómico' brand will take place, the 'III Cocktail Competition'. Finally, from October 25 to November 3, the 'XIII Days of the Rice of the Earth' will be held.
The mayor has highlighted “the richness of our gastronomy and our local restaurateurs, who are capable of offering a wide and first-class range.” Furthermore, Toni Pérez recalled that gastronomy is “increasingly a decisive factor for many tourists when choosing destinations, an additional motivation when planning and enjoying the trip”, which is why he hoped that “there will be many and very good the establishments that participate in these 'Benidorm Gastronómico' events."
