The mayor stressed the suitability of this center of innovation linked to water in Benidorm, because of the treatment and importance that for centuries the city and its rulers have granted to water resources. In Benidorm, he assured, "we have made of necessity, virtue", to the point of making it become a "model of success" based on the compact city. Something to which water management contributed greatly.
The Councilor for Water Cycle, for his part, has remarked that "it is normal" that Suez and Hidraqua have chosen Benidorm to implement a center aimed at the efficient and sustainable management of water. "There is no other Spanish and European city with numbers as good as Benidorm in terms of water management, so it is logical that R & D + I linked to water are made here and from here can be implemented elsewhere."
The mayor thanked Suez for choosing Benidorm "to implement a model that perfects us in water management in all parameters", and that "will serve us also" to reinforce the concept of intelligence linked to public services.
The Dinapsis centor has three spaces. The first, an Operational Hub with the ability to manage, in real time, the services and assets of the integrated water cycle managed by Hidraqua and which resembles an advanced control tower. The second is the Lab of Innovation, it is a close, open and collaborative space where to discover and investigate new needs and the best way to solve them. It will also support the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the province through open innovation events.
The third and last space is the great Technological Showcase that turns the city and the province into a pole of national and international attraction, a mirror in which they will project all the innovative initiatives that help to spread the excellence of the city and the province.
