The mayor, Toni Pérez, explained that “as many municipalities that have approved DUSI Strategies and that are beneficiaries of grants for their implementation have shown in debate forums and meetings, all the tender processing of the projects is extremely complex and requires a professional team dedicated exclusively to these tasks ”. Hence, "we have resorted to support assistance so that municipal staff have technical support that allows them to expedite the concretion and bidding of the projects envisaged in the EDUSI without neglecting the rest of the tasks and actions assigned to them and which are essential for the day-to-day management in Benidorm ”.
Four companies participated in this public competition, one of which was excluded after the opening of the first envelope, as it did not provide two professional profiles demanded in the specifications in its team. The finally awarded offer, Grupo Considera SL, will make available to this service a multidisciplinary team consisting of: an architect, a civil engineer and an industrial engineer, a graduate in Environmental Sciences and two in Biology, a graduate in Economics and another in Law , a sociologist, a graduate in English Philology and a graduate in Information Sciences.
This multidisciplinary team will provide a support service for administrative, economic-financial, urban planning, environmental, communication and dissemination management, and for proposing actions and projects.
Toni Pérez stressed that “with the award of this contract we want to support and give our EDUSI a boost and start as soon as possible to send to tender, project and execute the main projects programmed in Plaza de Toros, Sèquia Mare and Mediation and Employment centers , as well as in accessibility and mobility proposals in Alfredo Corral, Els Tolls and Colonia Madrid neighborhoods ”, the implementation area of EDUSI Plan.
