The amount of aid for entrepreneurial projects has doubled this year
Benidorm grants aid of 800 and 1,200 euros to 17 new freelancers and companies to start their businesses
These benefits can be requested throughout the year
The Local Government Board (JGL) has approved today the granting of the first remittance of municipal aid for the start-up of new businesses and activities in the city, from which 17 freelancers and companies will benefit, as reported by the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez. The global amount of this first batch amounts to 17,200 euros.
The councillor recalled that "this year, taking into account the complex situation generated by the pandemic, the amount of these aid has doubled, since at this time it is more necessary than ever to facilitate and favor the implementation of new activities and businesses in Benidorm capable of generating employment or self-employment ”. Hence, "the 17 self-employed persons or companies, the first beneficiaries of this call, will receive aid of 800 or 1,200 euros depending on the cases."
Specifically, entrepreneurs who establish themselves as self-employed with tax domicile in Benidorm, registered in the city and who meet all the requirements included in the bases receive 800 euros; while those who also process an business license at the City Council receive 1,200 euros. In previous years these grants were 400 and 600 euros respectively. In addition, as a novelty this year, an aid of 800 euros has been contemplated for the self-employed with tax domicile in Benidorm, who are not registered in the city, but who process the license to open their business in the municipality
The approved grants refer to business projects linked to hotels, services, health or commercial sector. Of these, 10 have opened an establishment in Benidorm and the remaining 7 provide professional services with fiscal domicile in the city.
Gómez has clarified that "entrepreneurs can apply for these grants at any time of the year." The procedure must be carried out online on the web (https://sede.benidorm.org) once the documentation available in the Employment section of the municipal website (www.benidorm.org) has been downloaded, where the full bases of this call can also be consulted.
In the coming months, the technical commission for these grants will meet again to evaluate new applications.
