Benidorm Central Library inaugurates the series "Encuentros con autor" with Luis Miguel Morán Bregel
Benidorm Central Library has launched a new cultural cycle called "Encounters with Authors," which will be held on the last Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the library's multipurpose room. The event, which is open to both library users and the general public, will bring together readers and writers in a space for engaging and participatory dialogue.
The first event will take place on October 29th with the presence of writer Luis Miguel Morán Bregel, a Benidorm resident and civil servant. He holds a degree in Philosophy and Literature (Geography and History, specialising in Contemporary History) from the University of Valladolid. His most recent work is "Times of Shadows," a historical fiction novel that interweaves two narrative levels: on the one hand, a contemporary story with elements of suspense and romance, and on the other, a historical intrigue that begins with the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD.
This series, as explained by the Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, has the fundamental objective of "highlighting local authors who have presented their books in the municipality and offering attendees a genuine space for exchange, where book lovers can learn firsthand about the entire process of creating and publishing a book: from the blank page to the final product in bookstores."
The event will be moderated by Mercedes Ciges, who will guide the conversation between the author and the audience, "fostering an enriching dialogue and creating a cultural forum for mutual learning that will be consolidated month after month."
