Belgian organist Jan Vermeire will star tomorrow in a new event at the Benidorm International Organ Festival

The prestigious Belgian organist Jan Vermeire will offer a concert tomorrow, Friday, as part of the Benidorm International Organ Festival, held on the last Friday of each month at the Church of San Jaime. The event will take place at 8:00 p.m. as usual.
The program, entitled "The Feast Day!", includes the following works: "Praeludium in D" by Dieterich Buxtehude; the organ concerto HWV 295 in F major, "The Cuckoo and the Nightingale," by Friedrich Haendel; "Duetto III" and "Toccata et Fugue in D" by Johann Sebastian Bach; "Humoresque L'Organo Primitivo" by Pietro Yon; and "In the Silence of the Night" and "The Feast Day" by Noël Goemanne.
Jan Vermeire studied organ with Robert Deleersnyder at the Veurne Music Academy and later with Hubert Schoonbroodt at the French Department of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels. He also studied with the Hungarian-Viennese music pedagogue Hedda Szamosi and completed his choir conducting studies with Florian Heyerick at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent. Vermeire holds the title of organist of the Church of Our Lady of the Dunes in Koksijde, "The Cathedral of Light."
Jan Vermeire is also deeply involved in several cultural organisations in the Westhoek region and serves as artistic advisor for the International Organ Festival in Veurne, Haringe, and Koksijde, as well as the International Organ Festival in French Flanders.
