An arrestee for an alleged crime against public health in a joint action by the Local and National Police in two cannabis clubs
A joint operation between the Local and National Police of Benidorm has ended with the arrest of a person and the seizure of 2.5 kilos of narcotic substances derived from marijuana, 1,400 euros in cash and a simulated gun. The operation was carried out last Saturday the 25th simultaneously and jointly in two premises registered as cannabis clubs.
The police intervention occurred within the framework of establishment inspections by the Benidorm Local Police. None of the establishments had the relevant administrative license nor the conditions required to carry out said activity exist.
As a result of the search, one of the employees was arrested for an alleged crime against public health when around 2.5 kilos of substances derived from marijuana, cash and the simulated gun were found inside the premises.
After the operation, the Local Police requested the closure of the establishment, while the detainee was already in court. The search was carried out with the specialized dogs of the K9 unit of the Benidorm Local Police.
Local and National Police agents had been observing unusual activity in these establishments for several days, which raised suspicions that the premises were presumably drug sales points.
