Youth department offers a leisure and free-time instructor course
The Department of Youth organizes a free-time instructor course for children and youth that trains them to work in camps, summer schools and school canteens, among others, and is aimed at young people over 18 years of age. The councillor of the department, Jaime Jesús Pérez, explained that it is a theoretical-practical course of 310 hours. Of these, "150 hours are teaching hours, 45 in online mode", while "the remaining 160 hours are practical".
Pérez has indicated that “the general objectives” of this course are “to analyze the educational context of sociocultural animation; locate the instructor defining its function; learn the design and programming of activities; provide resources and action techniques, and training for the development of activities”. The contents of the course are structured in three blocks: educational activities in free time, group and educational processes, and animation techniques and resources.
The course will take place on Saturdays from October 1 to December 17 from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:00.
The registration period is now open. Enrollment can be formalized at the Youth Information Center, providing a passport photograph, the formalized payment letter and a photocopy of the DNI. The price of the course is 90 euros and there is a maximum of 25 places.
