The XXIX edition of the New Creators Contest has already winners
The twenty-ninth edition of the New Creators Contest organized by the department of Youth of Benidorm City Council has already winners. The person in charge of the area, Ana Pellicer, next to the companions of corporation Paquita Ripoll, Tere Águila and Inés Reyes; and the jury member, Pepe Albero, have presented the prizes today at an event held at Museu Boca del Calvari where the contestants' works have been on display since January 17.
Alberto Lucas has obtained the prize in the category of painting and Alejandro Verdejo the sculpture, both consisting of a diploma and a cash contribution of 1,000 euros. The jury also awarded the best artist under 18 years, Cristina Monroy, with a diploma and 100 euros. There was also a special mention to the local artist Noemí Ortega.
Ana Pellicer has been very satisfied with the quality of the works of this edition of the 'New Creators' which has attracted 21 artists, (15 men and 6 women) from Benidorm, Altea, Pego, Gandia, Chipiona, Callosa d' In Sarrià, Formentera de Segura, Madrid and Valencia. The councilwoman of Youth took the opportunity to announce the next edition of the thirtieth edition that "will be special because not every day is thirty years old" and has encouraged young artists to participate.
