01 March 2022

The Department of Urban Space is developing on these dates prior to Easter, the first major tourist event of the year, different maintenance actions in the Old Town area and its projection on Levante and Poniente beaches.

The Councilor for Works and Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate, has pointed out that "these are works of a minor nature, but not of minor importance" focused on actions of "repair and maintenance of tiles and paving stones, removal of graffiti, painting on concrete” as well as “painting streetlights, bollards and benches on public roads”.

De Zárate has highlighted that "these are works" that affect the "work of making a city and improving the urban scene" in line with the actions carried out by his council under the principle of the Government Team of "having Benidorm up to the task of the cities of the 21st century” making “Benidorm a friendlier and more comfortable city”

To do this, 3 municipal brigades are undertaking these maintenance actions that affect public roads and their pavement -cobblestones and/or tiles-, sanitation in lampposts and repair of damage and painting in benches and street furniture.

For the councillor, "these are important actions to strengthen the urban scene and create a city"
