The Dinapsis Challenge kicks off, in which sustainable journeys become redeemable prizes
The II Dinapsis Challenge, with which users can obtain prizes in exchange for making sustainable trips in Benidorm, is already underway. The Councilor for Innovation, Aida García Mayor, explained that the City Council, along with Dinapsis and Ciclogreen, is starting this pilot project that "will be operational until April 16 and with which it wants to promote sustainable mobility, both between residents as well as tourists, involving local businesses in this initiative and relying on the use of new technologies”.
This pilot is developed as a result of the award received in the Dinapsis Open Challenge, the international open innovation program promoted by Dinapsis Benidorm for a more sustainable tourism model. Ciclogreen was one of the award-winning projects, a prize that consisted of financial and logistical support for the development of the pilot project in the two cities that participated directly in the program: Benidorm and Finestrat.
García Mayor has highlighted that this project "connects perfectly with Benidorm DTI+Seguro Master Plan, which promotes actions to encourage local commerce and digital transformation, two objectives on which we work with this Ciclogreen".
The person in charge of Innovation has pointed out that "the operation of this project is simple since the people who want to participate in this initiative only need a mobile device in which to download the Ciclogreen app, in which they will record the displacements that are carried out sustainably”. These trips "will become points that can later be exchanged for discounts and promotions in the twelve establishments and shops in Benidorm that have joined the initiative."
For his part, the Councilor for Commerce, Lorenzo Martínez, encouraged "the entire population to join this initiative, which at the same time promotes sustainability, healthy habits and lifestyles, and small businesses." Martínez has stressed that " Benidorm City Council work side by side with local businesses, promoting actions that contribute to the reactivation of activity and joining those that we consider can have a positive impact on the wide and varied commercial offer of the city”.
Affiliated establishments and operation of the app
Twelve establishments in Benidorm have joined this initiative: Berto Moda Hombre, Milar Fotocine Granada, Tao Bike, Llorca Supermarket, Zafiro Jewelry, Biciclub Benidorm, Touché Cafeteria, Sendin, Avenida Uno, Óptica Specsavers, Black Atmósfera Benidorm, and Miranda&Tania.
Those interested should only download the Ciclogreen app, available on IOS and Android, and choose the option 'Register with your organization' using the code 'dinapsiswin'. Subsequently, the application must be used to register the sustainable movements.
