Ten students participating in 'Et Formem' program are instructed as a ' Bicycle itinerary guide'
Ten students belonging to the 'Et Formem' employment program are taking the 'Bicycle Itinerary Guide' course, which will allow them to obtain a certificate of professionalism and improve their job prospects once completed.
The students, who have already finished the theoretical training at the Pepita Puchades centre, are now instructed in the practical part at the Traffic Children's Park, where they have been visited today by the mayor Toni Pérez and the Councilor for Employment, Mónica Gómez.
The training they are currently receiving is the second part of the employment program, once the first part on 'Maintenance of sports facilities has been completed. The mayor has specified that during the time they receive the training "they have a salary and are registered as municipal employees, in addition to receiving training that opens up the possibilities for them to carry out a profession with their corresponding certificate of professionalism."
'Et Formem' program, promoted by the Department of Employment and Local Development, aims to "improve the training and employability of people with job placement difficulties" has detailed Pérez.
The mayor has emphasized the current activity and the place where it has been taking place, the Children's Traffic Park, "which is a reference in the province."
"With this program, we are facilitating practical activity in an employment program that is aimed at Benidorm citizens who seek to have more training to have a wider range of possibilities in the field of leisure and mobility in the future," said Pérez.
In this sense, the mayor has stated that another of the objectives is "to create synergies in a city that is very clear that mobility must be as sustainable as possible". Hence, the program seeks to "professionalize people in a sector with great demand, while improving their skills".
