There are 55 vacancies in kindergarten for 3 years and 7 in the classrooms of P2 enabled by Conselleria
Public schools and the Catholic state school in Benidorm receive 456 applications for 3-year-old children
The twelve public schools and the Catholic state school in Benidorm have received 456 applications for 3-year pre-primary education during the admission period for the school year 2017/2018, of which the provisional lists have already been published. The mayor and responsible for the area of Education, Toni Pérez, explained that these students are added to students who had reserved space in the classrooms of P3 because they "have special educational needs" or because "last year they were already in classrooms of P2 that Conselleria offered in three schools of the city and will continue in the same center studying in classes of 3 years old ".
The volume of applications received corresponds to 80% of children born in 2015, who are the ones who join this course to the 2nd cycle of Early Education. After the process of scaling, the centers have published the provisional lists of admitted, whose claim process ends today. Based on these claims, on June 13, the final lists will be published, which can be appealed up to two days later before the Municipal School Commission.
At present, there are "55 vacancies for 3-year-olds in schools supported by public funds".
The mayor informed that "the period of registration formalization will be open from June 18 to July 2," and recalled that "this process is essential to confirm the place and that it does not decline."
Pérez recalled that in all schools supported by public funds, the ratio for 3-year-olds is set by the Conselleria in 25 students per classroom, except in the Gabriel Miró school, where it is reduced to 18 because it is a unique educational action center (CAES).
The mayor has also transferred today the final results of the admission process in the four 2-year nursery classrooms implanted by the Conselleria in Puig Campana, Aitana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa and Mestre Gaspar López schools. There are 72 places -18 per classroom- in addition to those of the municipal network offered at the three children's schools -Fontanelles, Les Caletes and El Tossalet- and the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) Nanets.
After the application process, at this moment there are 7 vacancies, all of them in the Mestre Gaspar López school, which is the one that has been incorporated into the P2 offer of the Conselleria.
With regard to schooling in municipal nursery schools and SAPI Nanets, for the 2018-2019 academic year, 332 applications have been received. Once the final lists were published and the period of the allegations ended, "there are currently 242 children admitted and 37 on the waiting list." Perez has indicated that "all places have been assigned to families residing in Benidorm, with preference given to family units that have been registered for more than 12 months", and that "86.74% of the families in the city have obtained a place "
He also recalled that "in the waiting list are only included family units registered in Benidorm."
