El Torrejó municipal center has hosted the presentation of 'La lentitud de las ramas', by Guillermo Cano, a book of poetry in which the author is inspired by the main character of Dersu Uzala ('The Hunter'), a Soviet film directed by the Japanese Akira Kurosawa in 1975.

The multipurpose room was too small and many of the attendees had to follow the presentation standing up. At the event were the councilors of Education, Maite Moreno; that of Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez; and many of the representatives of the social and cultural groups of the city.

The photographer Mario Ayús, a partner in the world of the author's training, has led the event and has introduced the poet, Cordovan by birth, multidisciplinary artist and director of the Altea School of Arts and Letters.

In this his third book, Cano writes about the need for a time through an internal dialogue around existence, knowledge, ignorance, and the role of beauty. ‘The slowness of the branches’ has been published by Ars Poetica within its Sola Nocte paperback collection. It has a total of 92 pages and can be purchased at major bookstores and electronic stores.
