From Monday to Thursday at 8 p.m. during July and August, craft workshops open to the public will be held
A new edition of Les Nits del Castell kicks off in Benidorm with 25 stalls of artisans and artists

Yesterday afternoon, Plaça de la Senyoría hosted the official opening of Les Nits del Castell, a well-established initiative of the Department of Commerce and the Merchants' Association. The event will run from yesterday until September 30th, from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. As usual, the event takes place in the Plaza de Castelar and Plaza de la Senyoría and aims to "promote commercial and cultural activity during the summer nights, revitalizing the area and promoting artisan talent," explained Mayor Toni Pérez, who toured the stalls accompanied by the Councilor for Commerce, Javier Jordá, and members of the municipal council.
This year's event features 13 officially accredited professional artisans, who exhibit and sell their creations in jewellery, sterling silver and precious stones, costume jewellery, cold porcelain, artisan soaps, and handmade beads, among other items. A dozen painters, including portrait artists, caricaturists, and silhouette artists, will also be offering their services in Plaça Castelar.
As in previous years, craft workshops have been scheduled to take place Monday through Thursday, starting at 8:00 p.m., in Plaça de la Senyoría. Each workshop will be led by one of the participating artisans, who will share their techniques and knowledge with the audience.
The Association of People with Disabilities of Benidorm and the Region (Asmibe) also has a stand where its members' creations, such as fans and bookbindings, can be purchased. This stand is located thanks to the municipal commitment to inclusion.
Both the Mayor and the Councillor for Commerce yesterday invited residents and visitors "to enjoy this cultural and commercial event that, year after year, contributes to enriching the tourist and commercial offering of the historic centre during the summer months."
