With the last tickets on sale, the organization plans to hang the 'Sold Out' sign today

The most anticipated edition of the Low Festival opens its doors

29 July 2022
Low Festival.

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Festivals and Events, Jesús Carrobles; and the director and promoter of the Festival, José Piñero, along with other members of the corporation and the provincial deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate, have toured the sports city hours before the opening of doors that will take place this afternoon.

The day before the doors open "is the most frenetic," said Piñero, who confirmed the good progress of the ticket validation that took place yesterday, Thursday and today, Friday, in front of the City Hall in the Plaza de Sus Majestades Los Reyes de España.

"There are already thousands of 'lowers' in the city - the promoter clarified - prepared for the reception". The organization's forecasts point to "more than 25,000" people a day "bordering on the 'sold out" in a city where "the festival atmosphere is already noticeable".

For his part, Toni Pérez stressed that Benidorm and its "Low Festival" are "two brands that work together and support each other" and stressed the growth of "our great festival", which consolidates Benidorm as a national and international reference in the field.

During the tour of Ciudad Deportiva Municipal, the light and sound teams performed synchronization work and the specialists placed the last pieces on the four stages, the VIP area and the VIP Pool of swimming pool. "Details are being finalized down to the millimetre -added the mayor- so that this edition of the Low is only satisfaction for all those who come to visit us and enjoy it". A festival that this year, Pérez reiterated, returns “with more force”.

The Low Festival employs around half a thousand people, responsible for the smooth running of the Low Festival. If we add to the thousands of 'lowers' that will gather during the weekend, the impact of the event in Benidorm is evident in terms of job creation and as an incentive for the development of the business fabric.

A great poster for a great festival

Today, Friday, the highlight of the Low Festival will be the bands: Metronomy, Nathy Peluso, !!!(Chk chk chk) and Dorian, who will perform on the central stage. At Benidorm Music & Emotion you can enjoy El columpio assassin, Shinova, León Benavente, Sidone, Ginebras and Elyella. For its part, the Radio 3 stage will host Paco Moreno, Jimena Amarillo, Belako, Dora, Triángulo de amor bizarro and Chico Blanco. Finally, in the Ellesse area, Bita, Jenesaispop djs, Don Fluor, Miss Deep'in, Flaca, Brava and Gazzi will take part.

The most intense day of the Low Festival is expected tomorrow, Saturday, with performances, among other bands and artists, by Editors, 2Manydjs, Fangoria, Ojete Calor, The Red Room and Carolina During.

Finally, Sunday will be the day of Primal Scream or Izal. In addition, between performances, on the different stages and areas, you can enjoy DJ sessions, rest, with chill-out music and, of course, recharge your batteries in the restaurant area.
