Both join the already confirmed performances of Javiera Mena, Marta Sango and Unique at the party that will support the final of the contest on May 14
Gonzalo Hermida and Levi Díaz will also be at the Pre Party Benidorm Fest Eurovisión
Gonzalo Hermida, finalist of Benidorm Fest, and Levi Díaz, representative of Spain in Junior Eurovision Contest 2021, will also be in the Pre Party that will support the Eurovision final on May 14. A final that is celebrated in the Italian city of Turin and in which Spain will be represented by the winner of Benidorm Fest, Chanel, and her theme 'SloMo'.
Benidorm Fest Eurovision Pre Party, organized by the City Council with the collaboration of RTVE and Eurovision Spain, will take place in Plaza de la Hispanidad, and the names of Gonzalo Hermida and Levi Díaz join the already confirmed names of Marta Sango, Javiera Mena and Unique, all of them semi-finalists at Benidorm Fest. The event will open with a session of DJs with themes from Eurovision, Benidorm Fest and Benidorm Festival.
As announced last week by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, for this event, with a capacity of 4,000 people, the City Council will have a stage and 3 large screens from which, starting at 9:00 p.m. hours, you can follow the final in Turin. In addition, on the occasion of this event, the 'techno landmark' of Plaza de la Hispanidad will enter the scene at full capacity.
After the incorporation of Gonzalo Hermida and Levi Díaz, the Pre Party advances its start time to 6:00 p.m., to accommodate all the performances scheduled before the start of the Eurovision final.
The mayor has pointed out that “with this Pre Party, the city turns to Eurovision as it did last January with the first edition of Benidorm Fest, with which we join Benidorm's name to a contest that each year brings together millions of people on screens not only from the European continent”. “A few million people who will know about Benidorm during the Eurovision final since RTVE has decided that Nieves Álvarez will transfer the decision of the Spanish jury from the city; a gesture that we appreciate and that demonstrates, once again, the affection that she has for Benidorm”, he recalled.
The assembly of the stage and the screens in Plaza de la Hispanidad will begin on May 13, Friday. That same night the rehearsals will take place; while traffic in Plaza de la Hispanidad will be cut off the same afternoon on Saturday, the 14th, at 5:00 p.m.
