The Board of Spokespersons unanimously agrees on this recognition, which will be delivered to the consul next Monday in an institutional plenary session
Benidorm will grant the 'Europe Distinction' to the "Ukrainian people"
Next Monday, April 9, Benidorm City Council will grant the "Ukrainian people" the honour of Europe Day. This has been unanimously agreed upon today by the Board of Spokespersons. This decision has already been communicated to the Ukrainian consul in Valencia, Pablo Gil, who has confirmed his presence at the institutional plenary session in which this distinction will be awarded, coinciding with the celebration of Europe Day.
With this 'Europe Honour', Benidorm wants to recognize "the history, position and indomitable courage and resistance capacity of the Ukrainian people", who for more than two months have been suffering a war conflict derived from the Russian invasion of its territory; and at the same time, show the support and solidarity of the city of Benidorm.
The institutional plenary session will be held on Monday, the 9th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Plenary Hall of the City Council.
