The service is also open to students of degrees or FP modules without offer in Benidorm
The City Council launches university transport to Sant Vicent and Sant Joan, subsidizing part of the trip to local students
For the second consecutive year, Benidorm City Council has assumed the provision of the university transport service to the Sant Vicent del Raspeig and Sant Joan campuses, of the universities of Alicante and Miguel Hernández, respectively. The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, has pointed out that "just like last year, the City Council is going to discount Benidorm students for part of the cost of the trip", specifically 33%.
In addition, "apart from university students, people from Benidorm and adjacent towns who work on these campuses, or students of degrees or Vocational Training modules who have to travel to Sant Vicent or Sant Joan because their specialities are not taught in our city or in its localities”.
Vocational Training students and campus workers who are registered in Benidorm will also be able to benefit from the municipal bonus and will have priority when accessing the service over people who are not registered.
For the use of this transport, the City Council will provide students who meet the requirements with a bus pass, called Unibús, in which students registered in Benidorm before June 1 will have the service discount collected.
The Department of Education has already opened the Unibús application period for the period between September 12 and October 7, for which 10 stops have been planned, three trips to the campus and four returns. Interested persons must request Unibús on the website of the City Council -https://sede.benidorm.org-, within the 'Services Catalogue' section.
Also at the Electronic Headquarters and on the City Council website -https://benidorm.org- all the information on university transport is available, such as the requirements, procedure and documentation to provide to apply for Unibús. Later, all the information about the second phase of the transport service will be provided, which is expected to be provided from October 10
