Carolina Santiago opens the cycle ‘Great Recitals’
The pianist Carolina Santiago last night opened the cycle "Great Recitals", organized by the Department of Culture, with a concert in which he combined compositions of Ravel, Beethoven, Messiaen and Falla. In her second participation in the cycle, which takes place in the Assembly Hall of the City of Benidorm, the performance of Carolina Santiago resulted in great applause from the public, among which were, among others, the councillor of Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, and the director of the cycle. After last night's recital, this Saturday Carolina Santiago gives a master class to the students of the Municipal Conservatory of Music ‘José Pérez Barceló’.
The new edition of “Great Recitals” cycle will continue next Friday, October 11, at 8:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall with the performance of the oboist Vicente Llimerá will offer his recital accompanied by the chamber group Oboíssimo. The third concert, scheduled for October 18, will be performed by the students of the Benidorm Conservatory: Israel Rivera, Sabrina Dehia, Pablo Solbes, Mar Navarro, Isabel Hurtado, Carmen Sellés and Sergi Pérez, all finalists of the Intercentros Contest of the Marina Baixa, accompanied by pianist José Maria Villegas.
A concert by the clarinetist from Benidormense Iván Martín, together with the pianist Alicia González, will close on October 25 the cycle "Great recitals", which this year reaches its fourth edition.
