The goal for 2023 is to recover pre-pandemic figures and data
The Board of Trustees of Visit Benidorm Foundation takes stock of the year: 209 actions in 20 countries, attending 31 fairs
The mayor of Benidorm Toni Pérez chaired this morning the ordinary meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Visit Benidorm Foundation of the Valencian Community in which the report on actions and the budget for 2023 have been presented, analyzing the management scorecard, the calendar of campaigns by agreements and markets, the breakdown of the campaigns and the balance of results.
In 2022, 209 actions have been carried out in 20 countries, attending 31 fair events. Specific contacts have been made with 34 travel agents, 119 specialized journalists, and 42 influencers, providing monitoring of each and every one of the actions.
The 2023 Operational Plan has also been presented, which includes more than 200 actions in more than twenty countries working on a dozen products and segments that include trade fair appointments, press trips, workshops, collaborations, training, street marketing, scouting, influencers, and reverse days.
Mayor Toni Pérez, president of the Foundation, has highlighted "the great work carried out throughout the year" and "the positive perspectives with which the operational plan has been worked on". Pérez has pointed out that “the objective for 2023 is to recover the pre-pandemic figures and data”.
To carry out this Plan, a budget "slightly higher than one million eight hundred thousand euros" has been drawn up, said the mayor, and that "also includes the contribution in kind of the campaign with tour operators". Pérez has pointed out the need for this budget, which is 200,000 euros higher than this year's budget due to "the new promotion actions in specific segments and markets", highlighting those that are going to be undertaken in the national and British markets. The mayor highlighted the economic commitment of Turisme de la Generalitat to the Foundation.
Before the end of the ordinary meeting, given the imminent change in the direction of HOSBEC, the mayor of Benidorm Toni Pérez had a few words of thanks "for his work and involvement" with Toni Mayor, who has recalled the beginnings of the Foundation and the thrust of the City Council and Hosbec "in an already consolidated reality". He asked Mayor to add patrons to the Foundation, wishing future success in a message of future and hope.
