A delegation of Brazilian cities is interested in the DTI management model in the Smart Office
A delegation of tourism managers from Brazilian cities has been interested in knowing first-hand the Smart Office of Benidorm, as a management benchmark as it is the first certified Smart Tourism Destination (DTI) in the world. Hand in hand with the public entity ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, the Brazilian delegation yesterday visited the facilities together with the manager of Visit Benidorm, Leire Bilbao.
During the visit, the representatives of the cities of Curitiba, Florianópolis, and Recife - capitals of the states of Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Pernambuco and considered 'smart' cities - closely followed the explanations about the technological tools used by Benidorm and its tourist application, in order to evaluate the possible implementation of similar solutions in their destinations.
For the municipality of Curitiba, one of the most important economic centers in Brazil, Janaima Reatti, Tourism Manager, and Guilherme Antonio Franco Zuchetti, International Relations Advisor; while from Florianópolis the municipal superintendent of Tourism and coordinator of the Florida DTI project, Vinicius Lucca Filho, has travelled. Recife, one of the main tourist regions of the country, was represented by Pâmela Alves, secretary of Tourism and Leisure, and Paula Gouveia, manager of Tourism Promotion and Commercial Relations. The delegation has arrived in Benidorm at the hands of Purificación Bautiste, from ICEX.
