Benidorm welcomes the 18 young people from 14 countries who are participating in a new edition of the Lions Costa Blanca Camp

Lions Costa Blanca Camp.

After the break forced by the pandemic, the Lions Costa Blanca Camp returns to Benidorm, events organized by Lions Club in which 18 young people from 14 countries around the world meet. The mayor, Toni Pérez, on behalf of the city, welcomed these young people to Benidorm last night during the opening of  Lions Costa Blanca Camp that was held in the Town Hall Assembly Hall and in which, among others, the councillor of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca; the governor of the 116th district of Spain, Joan Jesús Torres; the president of Benidorm Lions Club, Juan José Galiana; the president of the Lions Costa Blanca Camp 2022, José Luis López; and the entity's exchange adviser, Gemma Rodríguez.

The mayor invited these 18 young people to "enjoy, learn, get to know each other, get to know each other and live together" during the Lions Costa Blanca Camp; while he highlighted that eight young people from Benidorm also these days in turn as "ambassadors of our city in the world" by participating in similar events organized by the Lions Club in other parts of the planet.

Toni Pérez wished the participants of the Lions Costa Blanca Camp that when they return to their respective countries of origin “you can say that you have your home in Benidorm”.

For his part, the governor of district 116 stressed that the participants of the Camp are "at an age with a great learning capacity", and summoned them to live "this unique experience" that allows "you to come into contact with other people".

The Lions Costa Blanca Camp will run until August 14. During this time, the participants will carry out sports, cultural and social activities, as well as excursions to different parts of the province. In this edition, there are young representatives from Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Norway, Italy, Estonia, the United States, France, Austria, Brazil, India and Turkey.
