Benidorm strengthens its commitment to senior tourism through Improvement Groups for the 86 companies recognized with the SICTED award

Benidorm City Council has completed the three Improvement Groups within the framework of the SICTED project, an initiative developed to strengthen customer service and loyalty among senior citizens, a key segment for the Benidorm destination.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the local tourism sector and included the participation of the 86 companies awarded the SICTED quality seal.
The framework was the certification of Benidorm as a leading destination in its commitment to senior citizens. Key objectives include facilitating the understanding and use of services, assisting seniors with complex activities or products, and ensuring processes focused on the customer experience, among others.
This activity was based on the Decalogue of Commitment to Senior Citizens, a document created and accepted by Benidorm as one of its commitments to improving care for senior citizens. Thus, the sessions were developed through a collaborative dynamic that focused on identifying the commonalities of their current strategies aimed at senior clients to achieve a joint macro strategy aimed at loyalty.
In the end, each group presented their conclusions and proposals, and interesting results were shared, such as the emphasis on security, specialized internal training for employees, and personalized attention for this population.
The information obtained from these sessions will serve as the basis for the design of a coordinated Action Plan, with the intention of implementing it in the short term to consolidate Benidorm as an international benchmark in the attention and loyalty of senior tourism.
