The City Council is allocating an initial sum of 1.8 million to cover these grants, which will benefit approximately 71,000 registered residents over the age of 18

Benidorm is preparing for the new #BenidormTeDaMás campaign, in which businesses can now join

Benidorm se prepara para la nueva campaña de bonos #BenidormTeDaMás, a la que ya pueden adherirse los establecimientos

Benidorm is preparing for the new #BenidormTeDaMás shopping voucher campaign, which will run from December 15th to 31st. Benidorm City Council's Local Governing Board yesterday approved the regulations for the sixth edition of #BenidormTeDaMás, which will once again be universal, available to all residents over 18 years of age registered in the city before October 1st, with nearly 71,000 beneficiaries expected this year. This was announced by the Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, who emphasised that "we are setting all the machinery in motion for this new edition of the consumer voucher" and added that "the registration period is now open for interested establishments to begin participating."

The mayor noted that Benidorm is this year “one of the few municipalities that will once again be implementing this initiative to boost spending in our local businesses during the busiest time of year in the streets and shops, such as Christmas,” and that, furthermore, “we are the only municipality that will be granting these vouchers directly and universally to all registered residents without requiring long queues or any advance payment, which has been one of our defining characteristics from the beginning.”

The regulations governing these subsidies stipulate an initial allocation of €1.8 million to finance the campaign, based on projections from previous years, although this amount could be increased to €2,108,760 if necessary. A total of 70,547 residents registered before October and turning 18 by December 31, 2025, will be eligible.

These users can download up to three vouchers worth ten euros each to redeem at participating establishments for purchases that are at least double the voucher amount. In other words, they can obtain a maximum discount of thirty euros on purchases of sixty euros or more.

Furthermore, as the mayor pointed out, businesses and establishments in the city can now join the campaign by registering through the #BenidormTeDaMás website, https://bonobenidormtedamas.es, from today until December 30, 2025. Thus, “they can join even after the campaign has started and practically until the last day scheduled for its conclusion,” he added.

It is estimated that the impact of this sixth edition of #BenidormTeDaMás on the local business community could reach or even exceed 5 million euros. In other words, “for every euro invested by the municipality, approximately 2.4 euros will be spent locally, based on the experience of previous editions,” according to Toni Pérez.

Website and in-person service

As in previous editions, the initiative has its own website, https://bonobenidormtedamas.es, through which businesses can join the initiative, and users can register to obtain their vouchers.

The process will be the same as in past editions. To download the vouchers, beneficiaries must register on the website, accessing the Consumer Area. Once registered, they can access their personal area to download the vouchers in PDF format and print them if desired.

Vouchers can also be redeemed from the BuyBono mobile app – available on the Play Store and Apple Store – once downloaded, without needing to print them. To do so, they must install the app on their mobile device and access their Private Area from the Consumer section, entering their ID number and the password they used to register on the website.

Once this step is completed, they can download the vouchers. The app will generate QR codes for the vouchers and provide all the relevant information, allowing beneficiaries to check which vouchers they have redeemed and the establishment or service where they did so during the campaign.

Users will be able to download these vouchers starting December 15th at 9:00 AM.

In addition, starting that same day, a public assistance service will be available for those who have trouble downloading their vouchers or lack the necessary technology. This in-person assistance will be offered in the Town Hall auditorium from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on weekdays, and from December 15th to 19th, also at the administrative offices in La Cala, Beniardá, Els Tolls, and Rincón de Loix, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

A Boost for the Local Economy Since 2020

Benidorm City Council launched the #BenidormTeDaMás shopping voucher program at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, with an initial card campaign that provided direct aid to 3,000 Benidorm families during the 2020 Christmas season. A year later, this aid evolved into the current consumer voucher program, becoming universally available to all Benidorm residents over 18 years of age, with this program now in its sixth year.

“Although the conditions have changed since the initial launch of this aid, we believe this initiative can continue to contribute significantly to our residents and businesses,” the mayor emphasised. Therefore, he is confident that this sixth edition of the consumer vouchers will continue "reactivating the local economy, helping many purchases to stay in our city during a time of year of high consumption, and in turn helping families to reduce the cost of the shopping basket, which has not stopped getting more expensive in recent years."
