Benidorm opens a new 4,500 meter garden on Colombia Avenue
Benidorm City Council has put into service for the enjoyment of residents and visitors a new garden located at the confluence of Colombia Avenue with Murtal Avenue, once the cleaning work in the area has been completed. The new recreation area covers an area of about 4,500 square meters.
The Councilor for Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate, explained that this garden “has new plantations and drip irrigation”. Specifically, Mediterranean mix grass has been planted, as well as the placement of slopes "using a trinter mesh with different types of seeds".
Stone gardening and sprinkler and drip irrigation systems have also been incorporated. For the best growth and development of plant species, "quality vegetable soil" has been used. As for the specimens, shrubs of the type 'Nerium oleander', transplanted date palms have been planted and plants such as 'strelitzias augusta' have been recovered.
“With the opening of this garden, we are giving the city a new welcoming area” pointed out the councillor, who specified that this plot “was not finished because there were still several plots to be done. Now it is finished and anyone can enjoy it since it has become very comfortable to use”.
It should be remembered that with the approval of the urbanization project for this road, a new bike lane was implemented and the connection of the street with the roads and the drinking water, lighting and sewage network of the Partial Plan 2/1.
