Benidorm commemorates October 9 with an institutional plenary session at Plaça de La Senyoria

Benidorm City Council commemorates October 9, Valencian Community Day, with an institutional plenary session at Plaça de La Senyoria at 11.00. During the session the Cultural Distinction ‘Ciutat de Benidorm’ will be delivered to the doctor of Medicine Eusebi Chiner i Vives, in view of his contribution to the study and knowledge of the history of Benidorm, its culture and its traditions; a work that he develops in an altruistic way and as a complement to his professional activity as head of Pulmonology Service of San Juan Hospital.

After the delivery of the distinction, the mayor, Toni Pérez, will offer an institutional speech. The event will close with the interpretation of the hymns of Benidorm and the Valencian Community.

At the end of the plenary session, on Martínez Alejos Avenue, the traditional Fira of October 9 will be inaugurated, organized by the Comisió de Festes Majors Patronals.
