Benidorm commemorates ‘October 9’ with an institutional act and concerts by music bands

Benidorm is going to commemorate the festivity of 'October 9', Valencian Community Day, with an institutional act and concerts by the city's bands. On this occasion, the institutional plenary session in which the cultural award 'Ciutat de Benidorm will be given to Francisco Pérez Bayona,' Quico, the Photographer ', will be moved to Julio Iglesias auditorium l'Aigüera Park, a larger venue, adapted to health regulations and in which distances and safety protocols are guaranteed.

The institutional act will begin on the same day 9 at 10.30 am and the interpretation of the hymns of the city, the region and Spain will be in charge of the Musical Union of Benidorm.

In addition, within the commemorative program of ‘October 9’, on Thursday the 8th at 9:00 pm Societat Musical La Nova will offer a concert in Foietes Park; while on Sunday the 11th at 8:00 p.m. it will be the turn of l’Illa Musical Society in Julio Iglesias auditorium in l’Aigüera Park. The program of both concerts will consists of traditional Valencian pieces and compositions.

The Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, has encouraged citizens "to enjoy the concerts offered by our bands, ambassadors and transmitters of Valencian culture and musical tradition, one of the hallmarks of our region."
