60 public workers have received the gift of the corporation for their 25 years of service or their recent retirement
Benidorm City Council pays tribute to its officials on the day of its patroness saint, Santa Rita
The Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Council has been the scene today, day of Santa Rita de Casia, the act with which the municipal institution pays tribute to its workers in the figure of those who have completed 25 years of service, have recently retired or they have passed away and whose relatives receive the recognition and affection of the institution and their companions. The event was chaired by the mayor, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the councilor of Human Resources, Jesús Carrobles, and a good part of the municipal corporation.
In total 60 civil servants of Benidorm City Council have been honored, workers from all municipal areas and all of them have been given a commemorative gift.
Mayor Toni Pérez began his speech by addressing his first words to "the good companions and good companions who unfortunately have left us in full active service to the people of Benidorm", as has been the case of Pedro Muñoz and Angela Alarcón, a which made his gratitude public. Gratitude that has extended to the recently retired municipal workers and to those who have completed 25 years of public service, and to whom they have invited "to continue to provide in an exemplary manner and that go far beyond those that correspond with competence. In Benidorm, -he said-, we fight for public services to be more and better and this city shows it by offering important services such as education or training and many other services that are very much in over which we are obliged to attend ". The mayor has also had a word of gratitude to the recently retired, to those who have wanted a long life outside of work, with their loved ones.
After the act of homage a meal of brotherhood has been celebrated that has been shared with members of the municipal corporation.
