For two weeks this road between Europa and Orts Llorca Avenues will be closed and the direction of traffic in Gerona Street will be reversed in this same section
Benidorm begins on Monday the installation of the central lights of Mediterráneo avenue
Benidorm begins this coming Monday, January 11, the installation of the new central lights on Mediterráneo Avenue, as reported today by the Councilor for Mobility and Works, José Ramón González de Zárate. The councillor explained that "once the lighting rings have been installed on both sidewalks, now is the time to place these same suspended luminaires, designed exclusively for the remodeling of Mediterráneo Avenue."
This performance will require a traffic cut on Mediterráneo Avenue in the section between avenues Europa and Doctor Orts Llorca "for approximately two weeks" to allow access and work of the machinery.
De Zárate has indicated that while these works last "the traffic on Gerona avenue is reversed in the section between Europe and Orts Llorca". In this way, vehicles that go down Europa Avenue will be able to access through Gerona street until they reach Orts Llorca and from this point connect with the operational section on Mediterráneo Avenue.
As he explained, at night and on weekends it will be possible to circulate on the stretch of the Mediterranean affected by the installation of the lights.
De Zárate has asked citizens for "patience" and added that "this action is taking place now taking advantage of the fact that we have a lower traffic density".
