More than 500 students will join the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education in the city next year

On April 26, the enrollment application period for Infant and Primary schools opens in Benidorm

19 April 2022
Matriculación Infantil y Primaria.

After the traditional Easter school holidays, on April 26 the registration application period opens in the 13 public schools and the catholic centre of Benidorm for the 2022/2023 school year. A course in which more than half a thousand students are incorporated into the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood Education, according to figures provided today by the councillor for the area, Maite Moreno.

As in the previous course, "the registration application procedure will be done on the webspace that the Conselleria will enable at the address www.telematricula.es and that will be available from 9:00 a.m. on April 26 until 11:59 p.m. on May 4.

According to the figures provided by the councillor of Education, "in Benidorm, there are 533 minors born in 2019, the potential population that will join the 3-year-old children next year." Of these, 73 minors who already occupy a place in the 2-year-old classrooms enabled by the Ministry have reserved their school place; just as places have been reserved for students with special needs. After these reservations, there are 511 school vacancies in the 14 schools maintained with public funds, the 13 schools and the catholic one.

The registration application period for the 2nd cycle of Early Childhood and Primary Education will close on May 4. On the 19th, the provisional lists will be published in each centre and each applicant will receive a notification at the email address provided in the application. Families will have until May 23 to submit the appropriate claims electronically on the Ministry's website. The final lists will be published on June 3, and families will have a period of four days, until June 7, to claim. This period is extended to one month for families who apply for the catholic centre.

Finally, from June 3 to 21, enrollment must be formalized. If after this period, it is not formalized, the student will lose the place.

Classrooms for 2-year-olds

In principle, as in previous school years, Benidorm will have four classrooms for 2-year-old students in Aitana, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Puig Campana and Mestre Gaspar López schools for the 2022/2023 academic year. In addition, it is awaiting whether or not the creation of a new classroom of these characteristics in the CEIP La Cala is approved.

The calendar and procedure to apply for one of the 72 P2 places, intended for minors born in 2020, will be the same as for the rest of Early Childhood and Primary Education. To these are added the 70 offered by the City Council in the network of municipal nursery schools and the Early Childhood Care Service (SAPI) and for which the application period opens next Monday, April 25.

The 2-year-old classrooms are not zoned, but rather include the entire municipal term, as is the case with the Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores catholic school.
Processing

For the registration application and its subsequent telematic processing, the family must access www.telematricula.es. The only requirement is to have a DNI/NIE. The first step will be to generate the admission key, one for each minor. Then, the applicant will receive by email the identifier and password for each application that has to be made based on the number of minors to enrol. It is essential to keep the access code to be able to consult the lists and submit claims.

Moreno has clarified that "people who do not have a DNI/NIE or do not have access to the internet will be able to carry out the admission procedure in person on the same dates at the educational centre in which they request a place as their first option." These same people can carry out this procedure with the help of the Local Association of APAS, at the location of the entity on Calle Estación, requesting an appointment by calling 649 489 175.

Secondary Education and Bachelor

The Councilor for Education has advanced that once the admission process for Infant and Primary is closed, the Ministry will launch the one for Secondary Education and Bachelor, which will also be done on the internet. Specifically, the request for a place can be made from 09:00 on May 26 to 23:59 on June 3. For the 2022/2023 academic year, the zoning for the application for a place will be the same as until now, except for the catholic school, which includes the entire municipality.

All the information related to both processes is available in the Education section of the municipal website (https://benidorm.org/educación/). In addition, for any questions, you can contact the Council at 96 681 54 17 or by email at educacio@benidorm.org.
