Youth department launches ‘#BenidormTeEspera’ Photography Contest
The Youth Council, led by Jaime Jesús Pérez, has launched '#BenidormTeEspera' Photography Contest to “publicize the creativity of young people, while promoting our city and giving it even more visibility on social networks , and more specifically on Instagram, perhaps the most powerful network in terms of image ”.
Pérez pointed out that "this photography contest takes the 'hashtag' BenidormTeEspera launched by the City Council in the first weeks of the pandemic and with which the city has been showing the world what Benidorm has to offer for about a year. A 'hashtag' that has practically become a hallmark and that many users of social networks have incorporated into their publications. "
The Councilor for Youth has explained that "the photographs in the competition must be unpublished and the exclusive authorship of whoever presents them", and must "be taken outside Benidorm and show a person wearing the shirt that the organization will provide to the participants, in which #BenidormTeEspera is exhibited and which have been donated to the City Council by the local company Native World ”. The shirts will be given to the participants at the Youth Information Center, located in Plaza SSMM Reyes de España.
In addition, and as an essential requirement to confirm participation in the contest, users must follow the Instagram profiles of the City Council (@ay Ayuntamientodebenidorm) and the Youth Council (@juventudbenidorm), publish their photo accompanied by the hashtag #BenidormTeEspera and tag in the same to the Department.
Pérez has reported that "the three best photographs will receive as a prize an adventure camera with Wi-Fi and an underwater housing to be able to submerge it up to 30 meters deep." To establish the verdict, the jury, made up of five people linked to the field of image and youth, will assess the creativity of the photography, quality, appropriateness of the content, originality and impact of the message.
“We believe - the councilor has deepened - that this event is a magnificent opportunity to see Benidorm through the eyes and creativity of our young population, and continue to remind everyone that the city will be delighted to welcome them as soon as it is reactivated mobility and tourism ”. For this reason, the images submitted to the contest may be used in the official profiles of the City Council and the Youth Council in activities, brochures, posters and free, public and virtual exhibitions both on the web and in municipal social networks.
The submission period is open from today until April 30 and only one image per participant will be allowed.
