The XXXV Baseball Tournament 'Villa de Benidorm' will have presence of women's teams for the second consecutive year

This morning a new edition of the Baseball tournament "Villa de Benidorm" has been presented which is held for the second consecutive year in the female category, as announced by the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, at the presentation of the XXXV edition.

The tournament will once again have a triangular format, held next Friday, April 19 at the Municipal Stadium "Guillermo Amor Martínez", with the participation of the women's teams of Elche CF, Sporting Plaza Argel and Ciudad de Benidorm, in the children's category- cadet.

Arturo Cabrillo stressed that for the second year the tournament is held again in women's category "because we consider it a booming sport, with great support from the Federation and also deserves its unconditional support" and announced that "this tournament should be the germ so that from the Department of Sports we continue working to promote women's sport in Benidorm, in all its forms.

The trophies will be handed out at the end of the three matches, where trophies will also be awarded to the best player, top goal scorer and goalkeeper less goals.

Later, a fellowship meal will be held with the participating teams.
