La vintena edició del Fòrum Internacional de Turisme de Benidorm se celebrarà els dies 2 i 3 de desembre...

13 days before the celebration of the twentieth edition of the International Tourism Forum of Benidorm, Mayor Toni Pérez, together with the director of Pedro Zaragoza Orts chair, has confirmed the celebration of the same on December 2 and 3 and highlighted the registration of two hundred participants.

The mayor described the International Tourism Forum as “the most important event for the formation, dissemination and positioning of a city that is a leader in tourism”.

Toni Pérez highlighted the involvement of the Chair and its director, Professor Armando Ortuño, in a forum "which in 2020 celebrates its twenty editions", pointing out that "this time we have had to reinvent ourselves and adapt to the circumstances of a scenario post Covid, relying on the online component so that the situation is not a hindrance ".

Knowing what is being done at the moment in the world of tourism is the essence of the forum and the fundamental axis, explained the mayor, “it is the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals with its link with tourism, pursuing a better future for everyone. ”

The XX FITB will focus its analysis on the SDGs related to the revitalization of alliances for sustainable development, the most efficient management of water, the use and applications of clean energy and the necessary action for the climate, “always with the nuance of health security as a new rising value ”, stressed the mayor.

Toni Pérez specially reviewed SDG 17 –alliances to achieve the objectives- and linked it with the work of 'Pedro Zaragoza Orts' Chair, noting that this is precisely what the Chair represents: “a great alliance of the sector and the Tourism industry with the Academy and the Administrations to achieve objective and scalable analyzes ", noting that this forum always leaves" fundamental actions to maintain the leadership of a destination like Benidorm, with a vocation to be applicable in other destinations " .
