Benidorm commemorates this Friday, November 20, 'Les Lletres Valencianes Day' with a virtual and uninterrupted reading of 'Tirant lo Blanc', a work by Joanot Martorell considered a benchmark of the genre of Chivalry Books and whose first edition is 530 years. A virtual public reading that "will be carried out through the Zoom videoconference platform, which is open to the entire population and which will later be broadcast through the City Council's social networks," as the Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage explained today , Ana Pellicer.

The councillor has indicated that "due to the exceptional situation caused by Covid-19, and as we did on the occasion of the celebration of 'International Book Day' last April, we resorted to technology to commemorate this anniversary, facilitating so the population actively participates in this virtual reading using their own devices ”.

In order to organize this public reading, those interested in joining it must previously communicate it via email to the email library@benidorm.org, indicating their name and contact. Before the start of the reading, they will receive a link that will give them access to the videoconference, which will begin at 10.30 am.
