La tradicional bendición de animales se celebrará un año más el domingo en la Ermita de Sanz

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, the traditional festivity of Sant Antoni begins in Benidorm, bringing together all the associations that celebrate it in a year in which it has been impossible to form a commission and with the challenge of forming it for next year.

The councilman of Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles, along with the representatives of the Christmas parade, Yago Alonso; Comissió de Sant Isidre, Santiago Alcázar; and Festa del Roser, Beatriz Amor, have presented the acts that will culminate on Sunday with the traditional blessing of animals in Hermitage of Sanz. The three entities, together with the Department of Fiestas, have collaborated to "keep tradition," said Carrobles and so that citizens can enjoy, one more year, a unique celebration that brings together hundreds of neighbors and their pets and farm animals.

The councilor has indicated that the acts will begin with a solemn mass tomorrow, at 20.00, at Hermitage of Sanz. They will continue on Saturday with the flower offering, at 5.30 pm, for which the participants will first concentrate at 5:00 pm in the Trinquet. On Sunday, at 11.00 in the morning, it will be the time of the mass and the subsequent blessing of breads and animals.

Carrobles wanted to "thank the three commissions and ' people from l'Horta' who have celebrated one more year Sant Antoni." He announced that the events will be attended by the queens of the major festivities "and that the Penyes Association and the Comission of Festes Majors Patronals have been invited to participate. The celebration will be as always "except that there will be no maintainer as in previous years" in the offering, said Carrobles

The councillor has also encouraged neighbors to come to the hermitage this weekend because "surely the effort will be rewarded." On the other hand, Yago Alonso has specified that during the celebration the associations will set up a bar and on Sunday and the traditional 'bollos a la paleta' will be prepared. He also announced that during the religious act on Sunday, the choral group Arts Cantica will perform.
